QVM is the destination to warm up your Wednesday nights, boasting over 35 of Melbourne’s best street eateries including returning favourites from the summer night market, alongside a new line up of iconic fresh faces.
We are still making our way through the robust winter menu but here are some of our current favourites:
– The refreshing lobster rolls at George the Fishmonger
– Hearty winter warding clam chowder from The Soup Factory
– Cheesy spaghetti tossed in a giant 40kg cheese wheel from That’s Amore Cheese
– SMASHVILLE’s succulent southern fried chicken burgers

Take a drive to Geelong to see the final couple of weeks of the Frederick McCubbin—Whisperings in wattle boughs exhibition which brings together McCubbin’s key ‘pioneer’ subjects and additional paintings that elaborate the artist’s unending fascination with the colour and nature of the bush. The works have been sourced from national and state institutions, regional Victorian galleries and private collections.

To satiate your lunchtime cravings, The Garden Room Café is creating picnic hampers, specially curated for the event. Hampers are designed for two and include an assortment of home-made dips, cured deli meats and farmhouse cheeses.

Celebrate the Year of the Tiger at Sydney’s Lunar Festival starting from tomorrow til 13 February around Haymarket and the city centre. These are the biggest Lunar New Year celebrations outside of Asia. Find your zodiac among the spectacular Lunar Lantern. The Lunar Lanterns are a creative, contemporary interpretation of a centuries-old tradition. Sumptuous banquets, traditional Asian dishes and feasting galore. The Mix 102.3 Giant Wheel will continue to delight at Glenelg’s foreshore til 30 April, taking in spectacular views over Glenelg beach, Moseley Square, and all the way to Jetty Road and the Adelaide Hills.
Standing 35 metres high and seating up to 144 people in 24 gondolas, it’s the tallest portable wheel in Australia. The world’s most exciting racing on water is returning to Sydney! Witness eight nations going head to head on Sydney Harbour for the Australia Sail Grand Prix I Presented by KPMG on December 17-18.
Following a hugely successful first season – won by the Australia SailGP Team with Tom Slingsby at the helm – SailGP will return to the iconic Sydney Harbour on 17-18 December 2021 for the seventh event of SailGP Season 2. Slingsby’s team will race against the sport’s best athletes from seven other nations – Denmark, France, Great Britain, Japan, New Zealand, Spain and the United States of America.
The official event hub for SailGP will be located at Barangaroo. Visit the SailGP Village at Barangaroo to experience programming for fans. This will include the chance to see the racing boats up close with flybys and displays at Watermans Cove, prize giving and live Q&As with SailGP athletes. The ticket box office and fan merchandise shop will also be located at the SailGP Village. Boarding for Shark Island experiences will take place from the SailGP Village, with Spectator boats departing a short stroll away from the village at King Street Wharf 1.

Come and follow Santa into a Christmas dreamland in the City of Melbourne’s immersive 270-degree animated projection show across the beautiful facades of St Paul’s Cathedral, Chapter House and Torrens University.
Make it a night to remember and visit the projections at Melbourne Town Hall and Hamer Hall too.
The Chapter House Lane Christmas Projections will operate under COVID-safe settings with check-in, proof of vaccination required and a limited capacity. There may be a small wait time during busy periods. The projections can be viewed right through til Christmas!
