These are the biggest Lunar New Year celebrations outside of Asia. Find your zodiac among the spectacular Lunar Lantern. The world’s most exciting racing on water is returning to Sydney! Witness eight nations going head to head on Sydney Harbour for the Australia Sail Grand Prix I Presented by KPMG on December 17-18.

Following a hugely successful first season – won by the Australia SailGP Team with Tom Slingsby at the helm – SailGP will return to the iconic Sydney Harbour on 17-18 December 2021 for the seventh event of SailGP Season 2. Slingsby’s team will race against the sport’s best athletes from seven other nations – Denmark, France, Great Britain, Japan, New Zealand, Spain and the United States of America.

The official event hub for SailGP will be located at Barangaroo. Visit the SailGP Village at Barangaroo to experience programming for fans. This will include the chance to see the racing boats up close with flybys and displays at Watermans Cove, prize giving and live Q&As with SailGP athletes. The ticket box office and fan merchandise shop will also be located at the SailGP Village. Boarding for Shark Island experiences will take place from the SailGP Village, with Spectator boats departing a short stroll away from the village at King Street Wharf 1.

Colour The Streets – Barangaroo

The Streets of Barangaroo is celebrating the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival by Colouring The Streets with fabulous entertainment and colourful installations! From Friday 19th February, come to Barangaroo to dine on the waterfront with family and friends surrounded by the vibrant light and colour of rainbows hanging overhead & underfoot. Take your pick from a selection of fantastic food and beverage offerings including 5 Australian Good Food Guide Chef Hat recipients.

Double Bay Street Festival

Over 80,000 visitors in 2018, the Double Bay Street Festival is the biggest and the best Summer annual Festival in Sydney, now in its 9th fabulous year!

This year the Festival will be held on Sunday 3rd November 2019. Six streets in the center of Double Bay will be filled with fabulous market stalls, carnival rides, DB Eat Street, Live Music and all the very best that Australia has to offer. Stall applications are now open.

Application close in August and there are strict limits on the number of stall types, so don’t leave it, or you will miss out!

Japanese Cooking Workshops with Yoshiko


Enjoy a lovely afternoon with a superstar chef, who’s the author of multiple cookbooks and is passionate about healthy Japanese cuisine. Yoshiko Takeuchi has worked across many of Sydney’s top restaurants, including Tetsuya’s. She’ll provide all the ingredients and equipment, as well as step by step guidance, for you to re-create tasty and nutritious Japanese-inspired food, both savoury and desserts.
