Since March 2023, Care Park’s Finance team has grown into a dynamic and essential part of the business, expanding from a small group into a team that now includes admin functions. The team operates under the supervision of two Financial Controllers—Tyler, based in Australia, and Rhea, based in the Philippines—who guide 21 staff members.

Starting with Finance and evolving into broader administrative responsibilities, the team now consists of 18 Finance professionals and 3 Admin staff. These Admin roles include an Administration Assistant, HR Support, and an Owners Corporation (OC) Portfolio Associate. The Finance side is split into four specialised groups, each managed by a dedicated sub-team leader. Nicko Buen heads the Treasury team, Marjorie Lazareto leads Financial Reporting, Jemaimah De Villa oversees the NZ/UK Region, and Rowena Antonio manages the APM Division.

The Finance team’s success stems from a culture of open communication and teamwork, fostering a positive work environment. Their collaborative efforts have made significant impacts across Finance and Operations, including:

  • Streamlining financial processes to resolve gaps.
  • Ensuring timely account reconciliations and up-to-date landlord reporting.
  • Keeping statutory filings current and accurate.
  • Meeting all management reporting deadlines and conducting in-depth Profit & Loss (P&L) reviews alongside the Operations team.
  • Setting up a comprehensive Finance library, documenting and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs).

 

These accomplishments have allowed the onshore team to shift focus to more strategic business matters while ensuring a high level of attention to detail remains at the core of their work.

The Finance team brings an impressive range of experience, with team members boasting between 1 to 13 years of industry experience, and an average tenure at Care Park of 10 months. Before joining Care Park, their exposure ranged across industries including Government, IT, Real Estate, Retail, Manufacturing, and more. Their expertise spans multiple sectors, from audit and taxation to admin roles in customer service and logistics, bringing a diverse skill set to Care Park’s financial operations.

What makes this team even more unique is their shared interests and hobbies. Beyond the office, more than half of the team members are avid pet owners. Hobbies across the team include reading, watching Netflix, cooking, traveling, and engaging in sports like badminton and basketball. Many are also passionate about music, whether it’s singing, playing guitar, or simply enjoying their favourite tunes.

Together, this diverse and dedicated group contributes not only to the success of Care Park but also to a lively and supportive team culture that encourages both personal and professional growth.
