Improved customer parking experience comes to Ballarat Central


Customers at Ballarat Central car park will now enjoy an easier and more convenient parking experience.

From 29 March, the car parking system will become automated with the latest technological advancements in parking offering customers a seamless parking experience from entry to exit.

Customers will continue to enjoy two hours free parking daily.

The new parking system installed and managed by leading car parking operator, Care Park, offers customers more parking options, a safer environment for motorists and pedestrians, 24 hour Care Assist support and a stress free shopping experience from arrival to departure.

Operating the new car park system will be easy for all users. Shoppers seeking to stay under two hours per day obtain a ticket at the entry station to raise the boom gate. When ready to leave, the customer can simply drive to the car park exit and the licence plate recognition (LPR) system will verify the parking stay and open the boom gate automatically.

Customers who want to stay longer to enjoy the many shopping services at Central Square obtain a ticket at the boom gate and before proceeding to their car pay for the parking time at an auto pay station. When driving through the exit the LPR equipment will verify the payment and open the boom gate.

Great value early bird parking is available on level 9 and customers who want to utilise this reduced cost parking service must enter before 9am and can only park on level 9 or above otherwise casual rates will apply.
