More than 50 people took advantage of Country Hearing Care conducting free hearing tests in the Care Park-managed Coles car park in Swan Hill during late June.
In June the Country Hearing Care caravan parked in the Beverage Street car park offering free hearing checks daily for two days.
No appointment was necessary. Country Hearing Care has a permanent hearing clinic in Swan Hill on High Street across from the oval.
Country Hearing Care director Don MacDonald said the mobile caravan service provides a convenient, drop in point for people to test to see if their hearing is OK or requires attention.
“Some people would not normally take the time to make an appointment but if a service is available and easy to access as part of their day to day activities then they will take the time to have their hearing tested,” Mr McDonald said.
“Some people who knew the caravan was going to be in the Care Park car park drove specially to come and have their hearing tested.”
Country Hearing Care is a sponsor of Murray Valley Lawn Bowls.
“I would like to thank Care Park and the site owners for generously allowing us to utilise their car park. It’s a fantastic site right in the centre of town,” Mr MacDonald said.
Care Park is proud to support community initiatives that improve the living standards of people in our regional areas.
