Following on the back of winning the Parking Australia 2017 Outstanding Parking Organisation of the Year Award, Care Park has again been named a finalist for this prestigious award three years in a row in 2018.

The Parking Australia Awards were held at a gala evening at The Star on the Gold Coast on 1 November.

The prestigious Parking Industry Awards celebrate the achievements of individuals, teams and organisations for innovation, excellence and outstanding facilities throughout the parking sector.

The Awards aim to highlight the industry’s commitment to raising the standards of the parking industry, by showcasing exemplary projects from the last 12-18 months.

Care Park had to score more than 70% in the awards criteria to reach finalist stage.

Care Park’s award submission focused on site procedures, certifications and accreditations it has undertaken, implemented and attained to set benchmarks and raise standards within the parking industry.

Implementation of Quality, Environment and OH & S ISO standards have led to a number of major positive outcomes including reducing the amount of paper used by 40% and setting higher car park standards for greater security and safety for motorists.

Care Park Managing Director Robert Belteky says, “It is no longer acceptable to be a company that provides services that only meet the minimum standards. We have to work to the highest standards and continue to ensure that we keep raising the standards across all elements of our operations and car park sites and indeed for the whole industry to follow.”

Care Park is proud to have been named Australia’s first accredited parking operator, attained its ISO certifications and being an active participant of the communities in which Care Park operates.

All these achievements have contributed to Care Park being recognised as a finalist for the third year and one time overall winner over the past three years at the Parking Australia Awards.

Parking Australia Interim CEO Lorraine Duffy says, “The Awards submissions demonstrate exceptionally high standards and show a strong commitment towards excellence across each sector of the industry. We applaud winners and finalists for pursuing the type of innovations that drive the parking industry forward, as well as campaigns that provide an enhanced level of customer experience.”

This year’s categories were judged by a panel of nine national and international industry professionals.
